Binkies, Bottles, and Bows.... Oh My!!!

Well, I am a little behind on the posting, so this one may be kind of long.

I am officially 4 1/2 weeks from delivering sweet little Avery (or less).  If I have not had her by September 2nd, my doctor wants to induce.  Great timing too, since Parker's first day of school is September 2nd.  I have gained about 19 pounds and Avery looks to be a perfect size... not ginormous like her brother.  So needless to say, I am getting excited, anxious and trying to prepare.  My doctor has also asked that I cut back to half days for the last month, so I am officially part-time as of today!  Parker loves having me home more and is very ready to meet his baby sister!

We have been super spoiled with showers over the last several weeks.  We are prepared to have quite the little fashion princess on our hands.  She has gotten bows, dresses, bloomers, bonnets, etc.  I feel truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and co-workers that love us so much.

My work shower was amazing!  We had a huge turn-out, awesome food, and precious gifts for sweet Avery!

Then, we had a shower at my friend Angie's house.  Someone should have told us that we would need a walk-in closet for our daughter... because the closet is busting at the seems after this shower with cute clothing.

This weekend my husband's coworkers are hosting a shower for the whole family. I am sure Parker will love to help me open presents that he has to share with his sister.

This Sunday we took some family pictures and maternity shots.  Parker was too cute, but he definitely has a limit.  We discovered he will work for food.  Two smiles then food... two smiles then more food.  Bribery worked wonders.

Fourth of July Festivities

** You will want to pause the music on the side to hear the video clip at the end.

Happy Fourth of July to all my family and friends!!

Our weekend was jam packed.  Thursday we took Parker to the zoo with Jared's relatives that were in town for a family reunion.  It was hot but we had a blast.

Parker was a super trooper and stayed up till ten or eleven every night and took 3 hours naps to recover the next day.  He loved the fireworks and just shouted WOW the whole time.  I had to include a video clip of how cute he sounded.

Saturday we spent all day at the reunion and topped it off with dancing and dinner at Traildust.  On the way home from dancing, he decided to talk to the moon.  His imagination amazes me.  He said "Hi moon.... I can't reach you, too high.... come sit by me moon."  Too precious!
Sunday we spent sleeping and trying to recover from our weekend.

Funny Things Parker Says

Parker is just talking up a storm...full sentences that tie thoughts together and everything. He continues to amaze me with how smart he is. He is quite the performer at home, but every time I get the video camera out to catch those moments he quits talking and stares at the light. Stage fright I guess. But here's some of the cutest things I have heard this week...

1. "Mama, I want that pizza right here in my mouth!" It really sounds more like mouf
2. "Do you love me momma?" Melted my little heart!!!
3. When I asked if he was ready to get out of the pool, he said, "No thank you momma."
4. When he wants me to pick him up he tilts his head to the side and says "Please, oh, Please, oh, Please carry me momma!" How can I resist when he begs?
5. When he saw me crying (pregnancy hormones), he said "Are you okay momma? What is wrong with your nose?"

Sometimes he is so cute he makes my heart hurt!
