Long over due update

So I am way behind on my blogging!  Avery is 5 months old today and I still haven't posted her 4 month stats.

She is still perfectly healthy and eating like a champ.  Sleeping is another story :(.  She is a total Momma's girl.  She smiles away at people until they hold her and then she screams for me to take her back.  Poor baby!

At her 4 month well check she weighed 15 pounds 3 ounces, and was in the 50-75th percentile in height and weight.  Much like her brother her head circumference was 75-99th percentile.

She is eating rice cereal now and attacks the spoon, just as she attacks the bottle or breast like she's being starved to death.  She has actually started squealing with delight when she sees me or the bottle and knows she is about to be fed.  This picture is terrible and orange but too funny because this is how she always smiles.  She sticks her tongue out of one side of her mouth and grins from ear to ear.

She has begun laughing out loud, but that is reserved only for the really special people in the house... the dog and her brother.  No laughs for momma or dada.  She makes us feels like complete goof balls trying to get her to laugh and she just stares at us like we are complete morons.  Her favorite toy is this Rainforest Jumper (thanks Morgan and JP)

Parker is doing great!  He is growing like a week... vertically that is.  He may finally grow into that belly and head of his :)  He loves to makes Avery laugh.

Jared and I have been crazy busy giving our bedroom and bathroom a romantic makeover. (there's my excuse for lack of posts)  This project has been a complete beat down but we are so in love with the results.  Have I mentioned how handy Jared is?  No need to ever pay a painter, carpenter, electrician, mechanic or plumber around here.  He does it all. (I know, sexy right?)

I will try to be better at updating now...promise!

Red Raider Fans

Well, this was the best season of Red Raider football that I can recall in our school's history.  It didn't turn out the way we all had hoped, but we were having a blast watching college ball this year.  We had awesome 50 yard line seats for the Cottonbowl... too bad our team didn't decide to give us our money's worth.  (or I guess they did since we paid $0 for the tickets)

So long for this season....looking forward to next year!

Four Months Old!

Avery is four months old... at least she turned four months old 5 days ago.  I am crazy busy remodeling with the hubby, chasing two kids, and working so this one is a little late.

I wish everyone could know Avery like we know Avery.  She is the happiest baby on the block for sure!  She smiles at us all day... even when she's tired she cries, sees my face and smiles, cries, smiles some more until she finally falls asleep.  She plays hard!  I mean, she really explores her environment, rattles things, kicks like a soccer star, stands, jumps, rolls, and tries her hardest to sit.  She is trying her best to make up for Parker's slow gross motor development.  She coos, gurgles, razzes and barely laughs.  I try my best but only get tiny laughs... no belly laughs yet, but I bet they are coming.

I can't get over how much she loves to be talked to, mostly by Parker though.

Can you believe God blessed us with such wonderful children?  To be blessed twice, so richly is astounding.

Gotta run and kiss those chubby cherub cheeks!
